NEXT time you’re watching EastEnders keep your eyes peeled for a familiar face and a head of red hair.

It isn’t Walford stalwart Maisie Smith – it’s her mum Julia, who is appearing as an extra in an increasing number of scenes.

Maisie is best known for playing Tiffany Butcher in the soap

This one saw her go outdoors as the soap went on location by the sea in Southend, for an episode in which Jean Slater is seen in a wedding dress, munching on a burger.

Sounds like a laundry disaster waiting to happen.
