Holly Willoughby brands her new BBC co-host ‘the funniest person I’ve ever worked with’

HOLLY Willoughby is often in fits of hysterics at Phillip Schofield's antics on This Morning.

But he might want to look away now - because she now has a new TV co-host she reckons is even funnier.

Holly, 41, is fronting the BBC's Freeze The Fear with Would I Lie To You? favourite Lee Mack.

Speaking after a screening of the show she said: "I've never worked with anyone as funny as Lee Mack.

"On-screen, off-screen, we had the best time."

Holly took much of January off from This Morning to film the show in Italy, leaving Phillip to host with a roster of stand-ins back in London.

However, did she return to host her other primetime show, Dancing on Ice, with him at the weekends.

A source told The Sun: “Holly loved I’m a Celeb so much it gave her the confidence to strike out on her own and do more mainstream solo TV projects."

That has meant branching out on her own without regular co-host Phillip, 60.

Holly said that while shooting Freeze The Fear - where celebs plunge into ice-cold water, she and Lee, 53, gave it a go themselves.

The star explained: "In the hotel there was an ice-cold shower that we stood under and were like: 'Right, let's do it.'

"I have it all on film and one day I'll put it on Instagram. I was so jealous of what the celebrities were doing because you could see the change.

"You could see the transformation, you could see what they were coming away with - and it's infectious."

Holly made Freeze The Fear with her TV boss husband Dan Baldwin, who is executive producer on the show.

The celebrities taking part include musician Professor Green, former EastEnders actress Tamzin Outhwaite, Strictly's Dianne Buswell and sports presenter Gabby Logan.

They will be joined by Welsh weatherman Owain Wyn Evans, musical theatre star Alfie Boe, songwriter and footballer Chelcee Grimes and former Premier League footballer Patrice Evra.

But Phillip has proved he can do icy with the best of them - last week flashing a glare at Alice Beer when she mentioned he was turning 60.
