"I like Melissa well enough, but I don't think SNL is the right venue for her," one fan immediately posted.
"She is a bit of an one trick pony, imo," another person countered. "She does 4-5 voices really well, but she isn't a good actress, messes up lines all the time, is not really believable, and tries to recycle those 4-5 impressions on characters that are really poor match."
Another added: "Melissa does this weird thing where she swallows her own voice when delivering lines.
"She doesn’t project well, her facial expressions and body language almost never match the line she’s saying, and she doesn’t command the stage at all.

"It’s almost like when I watch her, she’s subtly trying to convey that she doesn’t actually want to be in this skit."
But for all her supporters and detractors, many others were simply concerned about the image presented by someone who complains in public, as opposed to handling her issues behind the scenes.
"I like Melissa, but she needs to put the phone down," one person noted. "Complaining about the show while she's on it, even if she's right, is a bad look to any potential future employer."
Anoter person agree, pointing out: "It sucks they're not using her, but it's embarrassing how often she brings it up on social media.
"Just leave if you don't feel appreciated."
REPEAT OFFENDER
Indeed, this isn't the first time Melissa has complained about her lack of screentime.

, "I'm not coming back to snl next year. Cause i deserve better [sic]."
Although, she quickly deleted the message, Villaseñor later addressed it on her Instagram Story by telling her fans that she was drinking and that she got "too cocky" when she posted her statement.
PETE'S PLANS
Of course, SNL creator Lorne Michaels could face a bigger replacement problem if fears of Pete Davidson leaving prove true.
A source said: "He’d love to have him for years to come and especially the upcoming 50th anniversary of the show."
According to , SNL boss Lorne Michaels isn't feeling confident that the 28-year-old will be sticking around the popular NBC show.
The comedy show's half-century milestone will be landing in 2025 and is sure to reunite various iconic stars from the long-running series.
The insider continued: “[Lorne] fears mostly that he will lose him but he is going to do all that he can think of to keep him around. Convincing Pete to stay though might be tougher than expected though."
