HOLLY Willoughby and Phillip Schofield are known for keeping the nation entertained on ITV's flagship show This Morning.

Why aren't Holly and Phil on This Morning today?
Viewers tuning in to This Morning today (May 19, 2023) will have noticed that Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield aren't on the sofa.
The reason for their absence is because they don't work on Fridays, and only host the show from Monday to Thursday.
The pair have worked this shift ever since they started working together.
However, Holly and Phil will be given a week off by ITV bosses as a result of the half term.

They are believed to be taking the time off from Friday, May 26, 2023, returning on Monday, June 5, 2023.
This follows the usual practice of show bosses giving the two leading faces time off.
Phil been working in TV and radio since he was 19 years old.
He first started presenting in 1982, working on a show called Shazam! in New Zealand.
Phil joined This Morning in 2002, replacing John Leslie and co-hosting with Fern Britton.
While Holly has worked in media since early 2000 as a model, TV presenter and author.
She joined This Morning show in 2009, replacing Fern.
When are they coming back to This Morning?
Phillip and Holly return on Monday, May 23, 2023 for their usual hosting duties.
They always enjoy a long weekend which starts when the show ends on a Thursday.
But as mentioned, they will be taking time off during the school holidays - which will include half term and the summer.
Who is standing in for Holly and Phil?
This Morning hosts Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond are hosting today, as they do every Friday.
The pair took over the plum job back in 2021 and have been a huge hit with fans.
They replaced Eammon Holmes and Ruth Langsford who were on the show from 2006 to 2021
