Netflix confirms fate of Top Boy after season 2 – and fans all say the same thing

NETFLIX has confirmed the fate of Top Boy after season two - and fans have said it's "bittersweet".

The gritty gangster crime show will return for a third and final season - and filming will start this summer.

Fans of the show are elated for the hit Netflix show to return, but are also equally gutted that it will be the last series, meaning all loose ends will need to be tied up in an explosive finale.

One viewer wrote: "Yes, can't wait for series 3. But sad that it will be ending. #TopBoy"

"#TopBoy Come on series 3...It's going to be epic," another posted

A third said: "Another series of Top Boy! This is what I'm talking about."

"Bring on another series of #TopBoy it will be bittersweet but it's just so good," another fan echoed.

Top Boy viewers were left in floods of tears by a shock death at the end of season two.

Fans of the Netflix crime drama series have already binged the series and have raced to Twitter to share their horror as a character is killed off in an explosive finale.

This drama takes viewers into the housing estates of east London, there is tension between the drug gangs that operate almost openly and those who strive to live honest lives against the odds in the crime-riddled area.

Completing eight episodes in a matter of hours - fans were "lost for words" as they watched Sully kill Jamie after a heated discussion with Dushane.

After Dushane Hill (Ashley Walters) and Sully (Kano) discussed and settled their differences, Sully decided to go to Jamie's (Micheal Ward) house to deal with the issue once and for all.

Upon arriving he shoots Jamie twice in the chest and once in the head.

He then leaves the apartment while Aaron (Hope Ikpoku Jr) and Stefan Tovell (Araloyin Oshunremi) cradle their dead brother.

Viewers could not believe their eyes and took to social media to share their disbelief.

One wrote: "Can we talk about that ending? I wasn’t ready for that. #TopBoyNetflix."

Another posted: "Okay, but I’ve cried the ending of Top Boy are they really gonna do us like how they did Ghost? This is unbelievable #TopBoyNetflix." (sic)

Sully killed Jamie because he has never been able to trust him.

Jamie tried to kill Sully multiple times while their rival gangs were at war over Summerhouse during season three.

Sully has killed four characters in the last four seasons of Top Boy.

The first one being Shaun Campbell who he accidently killed with a hammer in episode two season one.

He then shot Lee Greene to death along with Dushane in episode three of season one.

In the next episode, he shoots Leon to death after he was defending Ra'Nell.

Sully then took the life of Dris Wright, shooting him after he sold him out to his cousin Jermaine

And finally in season four he murders was Jamie Tovell.
