I lost 6 months’ wages after being dropped by every brand I worked with on the day I quit Loose Women says Andrea McLean
ANDREA McLean has revealed she lost six months' wages overnight after being dropped by every single brand she worked with - the DAY she quit Loose Women.
The host kicked off her television career as a weather presenter in 1997, but suffered a "punch in the stomach" when she walked away from TV.
Andrea lost thousands of pounds and was forced to use her savings when she lost out on deals while pursuing her new lifestyle venture -
Speaking to Johnny Seifert on the podcast, 52-year-old Andrea said: "When I made the announcement that I was leaving TV to follow my heart and follow my dreams, I had put a lot of financial planning into it.
"It's a huge jump because I was the breadwinner and Loose Women was what was paying the bills.
"But everyone in TV has other jobs like endorsement work or brand deals. I had enough corporate work coming lined up that that was going to keep the funds coming in until I get traction and it takes off.

"On the day I announced I was leaving every brand dropped me. Every single one.
"The money I thought I had lined up for the next six months was gone over night - it disappeared.
"That's how big a deal it is walking away from TV."
The financial blow came at a huge cost to Andrea - not only to her bank balance but to her view of the world.

"For me, financially it was a punch in the stomach," she added.
"My safety net was gone. I couldn't turn back, but I literally just had my savings and no other income.
"It mentally helped me see how fickle this world is.
"Nobody cares about you - they care about what you represent. And I was just someone who had stepped away from a very high profile job.
"But I thought that's OK because the brands that dropped me they don't value me or understand my worth."
Andrea - who returned to Loose Women this week as a guest to talk about her successful business venture - says she doesn't regret a thing.
She's since had brand work and TV shows offered to her - but turned it all down as she focused on her online mindset membership helping women to Think Differently.
"What I was going to do was way more powerful than working on a TV show," she insists.

"I won't say who these brands were but they were all to do with raising women up. They were all to do with making women feel good, but actually they didn't care about that.
"As far as I'm concerned, they missed out but it takes balls to see it that way when your bank balance is going down."
