Good Morning Britain in huge shake-up as Susanna Reid hosts first hour ALONE after Richard Madeley is replaced
SUSANNA Reid presented the first hour of today’s Good Morning Britain alone as part of a huge shake up.
The 51-year-old, who normally has co-host Richard Madeley, took the helm before being joined by Martin Lewis for a cost of living special.
The pair will be doing a live phone in for the first time ever to help deal with the ongoing crisis.
Telly sources told The Sun Martin has been "hugely popular" with viewers - and they want him to be a leading figure of the GMB's coverage of the cost of living crisis.
The shake-up comes after Susanna and Richard repeatedly clashed this week over Will Smith's "assault" on comic Chris Rock at the Oscars.
The presenters appeared to have opposing views on the shocking moment, as Richard defended Will's reasoning for the slap.

It led to fans being convinced the presenters are secretly feuding after a series of “awkward moments”.
Richard - who stepped in as one of the celebrity guests to fill Piers Morgan's shoes - often disagrees with Susanna during debates.
Yesterday viewers insisted there is something more going on with the Good Morning Britain presenters than just a difference of opinion.
"Bit of friction between Susanna and Richard this morning," one said.
Another suggested: "Susanna Reid face whenever Richard speaks is brilliant.
Someone else said: "Barely 5 minutes in & overbearing Susanna glaring at overbearing Richard for interrupting her. They both love the sound of their own voices."
Another added: "Not feeling much love for Richard Madeley from his co host Susanna Reid this morning #GMB."
Martin is used to fronting Good Morning Britain, having stepped in after Piers Morgan left in March 2021.

Alastair Campbell, Ed Balls, Adil Ray, and Rob Rinder have also assisted Susanna following his departure.
The outspoken and controversial media personality infamously quit the popular morning programme last year after he stormed off set following a row with weatherman Alex Beresford.
After walking out on the show, Piers revealed he turned down 20 jobs before signing a historic deal with The Sun, adding how he was "coming home".
