Doctor Who fans convinced Jodie Whittaker’s replacement as time lord will be announced at Easter
DOCTOR Who fans are in a lather after the BBC confirmed the penultimate episode starring Jodie Whittaker will air on Easter Sunday, April 17.
Viewers are convinced this is when the show’s creators will drop the big announcement about who will be taking over as the Time Lord next year.
It would make sense because I understand filming on the new Doctor Who episodes is set to start in April and they wouldn’t want the surprise being spoiled by someone spotting new cast members out and about.
So making the announcement to coincide with the airing of the upcoming Legend Of The Sea Devils episode is a wise move – and we might just get a peek at Jodie’s successor when her final episode airs this autumn.
By which time the show’s devotees will no doubt have imploded with all the intrigue.

BILL ROACHE is getting more than a hotpot and pint in the Rovers for his 90th birthday.
The Corrie legend, who has played Street stalwart Ken Barlow for more than 60 years, will star in his own ITV documentary to mark the milestone next month.
Happy Birthday Bill, which will look back at his TV legacy, is to feature a host of current and former cast members, plus his own family.
As well as Bill reminiscing about his favourite Corrie moments, viewers will learn about his life pre-cobbles as he returns to his old Army barracks, where he served before bagging the role of charmer Ken.
Bill says: “It’s been lovely revisiting past memories.”
I’m sure Corrie fans will lap it up.

And there is another interesting addition in the form of Lukas Gage, who isn’t quite a household name on this side of the Atlantic yet.
But anyone who watched Sky’s The White Lotus will recognise him as Dillon – a staffer at the comedy-drama’s resort, who found himself at the centre of a memorable scene that was, well, rather cheeky.
