This Morning fans gobsmacked as woman reveals her best friend stole £27k from her – but insists she’s not daft
THIS Morning fans were left gobsmacked today when a woman revealed her best friend stole £27,000 from her as part of an elaborate con.
Nicky Reynolds has been left in debt and devastated after pal Angela Kitchener begged her for money , after convincing her that she was due £5 million in a huge pay out – but she insists she’s not daft.
Some of Angela’s extreme lies include feigning being diagnosed with breast cancer and claiming her ex husband had passed away.
She was finally exposed and admitted to two counts of fraud and was jailed for three-and-a-half years.
Nicky joined Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby and explained: “She [Angela] was going through a divorce and she needed to keep afloat, while she was waiting for her money to come through.
“She had a good job and her hair was always done and nails done, so it did make sense and kind of didn’t - she had a high lifestyle to keep.”

Nicky then said Angela asked her to be her maid of honour, but after going wedding dress shopping, Angela couldn’t pay for the deposit for her dress because her bank account had allegedly been frozen due to defrauding.
Believing she was helping a friend, Nicky loaned her money to help pay for her dress.
After lending Angela around £27,000 in total and not getting any of it back, Nicky went to the police and an investigation ensued.
Angela was found guilty in court and sent to prison for three and a half years. Nicky said she doesn’t think Angela has any regrets and believes she could do it again.
Those watching at home couldn’t believe what they were hearing, particularly when Nicky insisted she “isn’t a daft women” and took to Twitter to discuss it.
One person wrote: “I’m not a daft woman … erm I think you are, love. This interview is even more proof of that #ThisMorning.”
A second added: “I know it’s bad but the con artist saw that this woman is a bit of a gullible fool #ThisMorning.”
While a third remarked: “What is wrong with these people?! I’d be suspicious from day 1, never mind letting it get to £27K! 🙄Obviously more money than sense.”
