Now Richard - who normally presents Monday to Wednesday - will end his working week early.

Susanna revealed today: "With just a few days until the energy price cap goes up by 54 percent, there's huge concern of course about the impact on energy bills, me and Martin Lewis are going to be doing a GMB special tomorrow morning."

She paused and added: "I'm wondering whether I should have said Martin Lewis and I.

"Martin Lewis might have a word with me about that."

Sharing the announcement made on Good Morning Britain, Martin said: "This clip did make me chuckle for some reason."

Telly sources told The Sun Martin has been "hugely popular" with viewers - and they want him to be a leading figure of the GMB's coverage of the cost of living crisis.

From 6am tomorrow, Susanna and Martin will look at what you can do to cope with the rising costs.

Money Saving Expert Martin will be taking viewers' questions.

"I once asked Martin if he were to be chancellor what is the first thing he would do," added Susanna.

"He said 'resign'. It's an absolutely impossible job."

Yesterday Rishi Sunak dashed hopes of another bailout to help Brits clobbered by the cost of living crisis.

He said energy prices are too “volatile” to predict and he wants to wait until autumn to decide if he will fund more money off bills.

Sunak is under massive pressure to do more to help hard-pressed families facing the biggest fall in living standards since the 1950s.
