Good Morning Britain fans convinced Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley are feuding after ‘awkward clash’ this morning

GOOD Morning Britain fans were today left convinced that Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley are secretly feuding.

The pair have recently been embroiled in "awkward clashes" while presenting the show together.

Richard - who stepped in as one of the celebrity guests to fill Piers Morgan's shoes - often disagrees with Susanna during debates.

Now viewers insist there is something more going on with the Good Morning Britain presenters than just a difference of opinion.

"Bit of friction between Susanna and Richard this morning," one said.

Another suggested: "Susanna Reid face whenever Richard speaks is brilliant.

"I wonder how long she can do this for. The Internal screaming is real #gmb."

Something else said: "Barely 5 minutes in & overbearing Susanna glaring at overbearing Richard for interrupting her. They both love the sound of their own voices."

Another added: "Not feeling much love for Richard Madeley from his co host Susanna Reid this morning #GMB."

The pair butted heads yesterday over Will Smith slapping Chris Rock on stage at the Oscars.

Will, who went on to win Best Actor for his role as Richard Williams in King Richard said "love will make you do crazy things" in his acceptance speech.

Richard appeared to defend the actor for his decision to defend his alopecia-stricken wife Jada Pinkett Smith after comic Chris said: "Jada, I love you, G. I. Jane 2, can't wait to see it," Chris joke.

Demi Moore famously shaved her head for her role in the 1997 movie.

Jada, on the contrary, has been struggling with hair loss for years due to her alopecia diagnosis, and last year decided to shave it all off.

Richard felt "split" in his views about what Will had done - and admitted he "didn't know" how he'd react if something similar had been said about his wife Judy.

He said: "I think what he did was clearly wrong and a criminal offence, even though the police aren't going to prosecute. But I can understand the emotions that underpinned it.

"It's important for people to understand the way they behave the way they do. You just saw a human mistake unfurling on live global telly.

"It's important to analyse and not just say 'it was wrong, full stop, end of discussion' because people do make mistakes and things they shouldn't do.

"He shouldn't have done it so you have to ask, why did he do it?

"Chris Rock was sticking his fingers, dabbling his fingers in the stuff of that couple's souls. Alopecia is a big deal in people's lives."

But Susanna insisted there was no justification for what he did.

She told viewers: "Obviously you can see Will was furious about was said - and I'm not defending the joke - but really? It's 2022 and it's OK to get up on stage and hit somebody."

And then again this morning, viewers were convinced there was tension between the pair.

Richard explained how a magistrate yesterday told him there would be a defence in court because of his emotional reaction.

Susanna hit back: "I don't think anybody should be at risk of assault for simply for something they said.

"I don't think comedians would consider they're taking a risk with their physical welfare by making a joke. They have said they are more worried about being cancelled."
