A source last night said: “There has been lots of speculation that Laura might be stepping down, or that other presenters were being lined up for the role.

“Laura and show executives always hoped she would re-sign — it was just a case of making sure timings worked.

“She is excited to be going back to Casa Amor and seeing what dramas unfold.”

The Irish former model took over from the late Caroline Flack in 2020 for the sixth series of the hit series.

Dublin-born Laura, who is currently appearing on ITV2’s Celebrity Juice, said earlier this month: “Believe it or not, I know lots of families that all watch Love Island together.

“I can imagine watching Love Island with your grandmother may be awkward.”

It was revealed this month that Laura has seen her fortune more than double since she first joined Love Island.

She is now worth more than £1.75million, according to accounts for the company Yer Wan Limited through which she channels her TV earnings.
