I get fed up when guests think they know better – I just have to keep smiling, says A Place In The Sun’s Danni Menzies

A PLACE in the Sun's Danni Menzie has revealed what she really thinks when guests slam the properties that she finds for them on the Channel 4 show.

The 33-year-old property expert, who announced last month that she had quit the programme after six years, said it can be frustrating when property hunters think they "know better".

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Danni said: "You do get people who come and think they know better.

"We’ve had loads of people working on this, we've had all the researchers, all of the people who have been doing this for 20 years.

"I just have to keep smiling on the show."

When asked if she sometimes gets fed up, she laughed: "That does happen sometimes but most of them are really nice and grateful."

The TV favourite said said she was in floods of tears on her final day on the show.

The Scottish presenter said: "I cried so much, on the last day they brought out a laptop and played a video and every single one of the crews - probably over 100 people that had all added to it saying bye and thank you.

"I balled my eyes out and drank the champagne and ate the cake that they gave me."

However fans of the telly hit won’t have to say goodbye just yet - as  is likely to be seen on screen for at least another year.

So many episodes have already been filmed that she will still be a regular fixture throughout 2022 alongside fellow Scots presenter Jean Johansson and the other hosts.

But fear not, Danni said she will return to the property show for the occasional episode.

Speaking about a possible return to the Channel 4 show, she said: "They've already asked me to cover shows and I probably will step in and cover shows when they need it - there is no bad blood or anything like that."

Danni also admitted that one of the main reasons behind her decision to leave the show was the difficultly to maintain a long-term relationship when she was constantly jetting off.

The presenter, who split from her partner this week, said that she is hoping that she will now be able to focus on her love life, despite the recent breakup.

Danni said: "I’ve left the show about a month ago, I’ve done it for six years and it’s about time for a change and there were quite a few things that were hard to do when I was doing the show, like have a relationship.

"Like when you go on a date you’re packing your bag every week doesn’t really happen, so I just thought it’s time for a change."

The Scottish beauty revealed that she split with her partner on Wednesday - while joking that men find her "intimidating".

"I actually broke up with someone yesterday – it was s***," Danni said.

"I think it was the right thing.

Sharing the news on her social media last month of her departure, she said: "The news is out, I am!!! I've actually just filmed my last show."

She gave fans some solace, however, with the news that she has filmed plenty of episodes that are still to air.
