CORONATION Street fans are convinced they spotted a touching Ukraine tribute during show.

On Monday's trip to Weatherfield, Amy Barlow ( Elle Mulvaney) was spotted trying to convince her grandfather Ken (William Roache) to give her the inheritance left to her by her late grandmother Deirdre.

The teen was hoping to use the funds to pay for her university education after cutting all ties with her parents, Tracy and Steve, over her relationship with Jacob.

But before Ken could be cornered by his granddaughter in Roy's Rolls, viewers are adamant they glimpsed a subtle tribute to the war-torn country being ravaged by Putin's troops.

Taking to Twitter as the credits rolled, many believed they saw the colours of the Ukraine flag behind the café's food cabinet.

One wrote: "I was more taken by the subtle Ukraine flag colours behind the pie."

A second replied: "Same."

While cafe owner Roy (David Neilson) is known for his social conscience, the tribute to Ukraine isn't known to be intentional.

Roy is one of Corrie's biggest stalwarts and left fans heartbroken when he left the programme in November, 2021.

Over the years, he has taken in any damaged character he could.

These include Becky McDonald, Fiz Stape, Shona Platt, Carla Connor - with whom he bonded following the death of his wife Hayley - and Anna Windass.

One of his most heartwarming relationships, however, is the one he shares with his niece Nina Lucas.

He has recently been supporting her throughout her battle with anxiety.
