FANS of The One Show are convinced they spotted a 'frosty' exchange between MasterChef's John Torode and Gregg Wallace.

The pair appeared on the BBC One programme live on Wednesday evening, with Gregg in the studio and John via video link from his home.

But as One Show hosts Emma Willis and Jermaine Jenas introduced the MasterChef judges, viewers couldn't help but notice the atmosphere.

Gregg threw his hand in the air and shouted: "John, you alright son?!"

Appearing to speak through gritted teeth while rolling his eyes, the Australian chef replied: "G'day, mate. How are you, mate?"

Gregg shouted back: "I miss you, mate! I don't like doing things on my me own, I get lonely!"

John then rolled his eyes for a second time, adding: "I'll see you soon, love."

He later referred to his MasterChef co-star as "the bald one".

'FALLEN OUT?'

Fans were quick to take to Twitter and comment on the seemingly awkward exchange between the foodies.

One tweeted: "John didn't seem very pleased to see Gregg. #theoneshow."

Another wrote: "Gregg Wallace and John Torode still not getting along."

A third asked: "Have they Fallen out with each other??"

Gregg and John appeared on The One Show to promote MasterChef, which is back on screens for the 18th series.

But despite suggestion from fans that they don't get on, the pair go way back and insist they do actually like each other.

Prior to their TV fame, Gregg had sold fruit and vegetables to John’s restaurant. John was also best man at Gregg’s wedding in 2016.

The MasterChef stars just make it clear that they "give each other space" when they are not at work together.

Speaking to The Sun last September, Gregg explained: “Everyone else expects us to be as close outside of work but we need to give each other space.

“If I had the slightest issue with anything I would call John. But I have no idea where he lives.”
