Gordon Ramsay signs up for rival ITV cooking show just days before BBC series Future Food Stars launches

THE Beeb is trumpeting the start of Gordon Ramsay’s new cooking game show Future Food Stars on BBC1 next week.

But at the same time, the telly chef’s people have been securing a deal to screen another of his programmes on rival channel ITV.

Next Level Chef has been a hit in the US – and now a British version is being made which could air later this year.

ITV is due to sign the deal to get the first UK series, which will be based around the same concept of a three-storey building where cooks have to progress upwards by producing sensational dishes.

But each time they do, the facilities they are faced with make the task ever harder.

Let’s hope the ITV and BBC shows don’t somehow end up with schedulers putting them head to head, or I’m sure Gordon would have some choice words to say.
