THE Chase fans have been left feeling bemused after a contestant turned up wearing a vibrant flag-themed outfit.
Colin, 59, decided to make himself stand out on the ITV1 game show by donning a Union Jack bow tie and matching waistcoat.
The police call handler told host Bradley Walsh that he thought he'd "dress ugly" for him.
But Bradley insisted: "You look splendid. I like it, I really like it."
Viewers of the The Chase were also more enamoured with Colin's Union Jack-themed ensemble, rather than how well he answered the questions.
One tweeted: "Colin looks as though he’s going straight to the last night of the proms when he finishes on #thechase this afternoon."
Another wrote: "No one can say Colin didn’t get dressed up for the show today #TheChase."
A third added: "I love Colin's waistcoat! Fantastic."

Colin, from Stafford, told Bradley he enjoyed volunteering at both his local canal and his local theatre in his spare time.
He also said he enjoys writing poetry, adding: "It's nonsense stuff, it's a bit of fun really."
During his first round of quick-fire questions, Colin successfully named some lyrics from the Robin Thicke hit Blurred Lines.
Amazed, Bradley asked: "Burred Lines, how did you get that?!"
Laughing, he replied: "I can't see, so it's all blurred!"

Colin and the rest of Wednesday evening's contestants were up against Chaser Paul 'Sinnerman' Sinha.
The patriotic player took £7,000 back to his teammates and had hoped to scoop some cash to pay for a new porch for his house.
But unfortunately, Colin and his fellow two contestants were beaten by The Sinnerman and went home empty-handed.
