Adam Thomas’ son Teddy cast in Waterloo Road reboot – after his niece Scarlett also bagged role
ADAM Thomas is making his Waterloo Road return even more of a family affair – after his son Teddy was cast in the new BBC series.
The former Emmerdale actor will have Teddy, seven, as his on-screen son in the show, which also features his niece Scarlett Thomas as his on-screen daughter.
Adam, 33, has returned as reckless Donte Charles in the school based series and will make his comeback later this year.
He first appeared in the show from 2006 and 2009.
Waterloo Road was later axed six years after Adam left but will return to screens this summer.
The Sun exclusively revealed he was returning last November before it was confirmed Scarlett, who is the daughter of his twin brother Ryan, had been cast as his daughter.

Now Teddy is making his big acting debut as his son.
A source said: “Adam could not be more thrilled to be acting alongside Teddy for the first time.
“Teddy auditioned for the part initially but was beaten to the role by another kid.
“However the boy who did get the part has had to pull out of the show, meaning Teddy got the call up.
“It means Ryan now has his niece Scarlett and his son Teddy as part of his on screen family.
“He is absolutely ecstatic and he cannot wait to get started.”
A representative for Waterloo Road said: “Due to unforeseen circumstances there has been a last minute casting change to the role of Tommy Charles.
“The part will now be played by Teddy Thomas.”
Speaking about Scarlett, 13, being cast alongside him, Adam said last month: “My little niece Scarlett Thomas is going to be joining the cast of Waterloo Road.
“Donte and Chloe had a baby called Izzy many moons ago and she's now grown up and my little niece gets to play her.
“My brother's daughter gets to play my on-screen daughter.”
Scarlett will play Izzy alongside fellow newcomers Adam Abbou as Danny Lewis, Priyasasha Kumari as Samia Choudhry, with Noah Valentine joining as Preston Walters.
