Monday's show saw comedian Stephen Bailey, Bake Off star Crystelle Pereira, presenter Amanda Lamb and actor Nick Moran take their seats.

As the round progressed, Crystelle and Stephen in particular seemed to get excited when they got the right answers.

Amanda, 49, was also a bit excitable, however, the shouts and shrieks of celebration grated on some viewers.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Anyone else finding all of these people incredibly f***ing annoying?"

A fellow viewer replied: "Yes, constant noise between rounds and questions."

Another tweeted: "Crystelle ruining my favourite show with her over the top shrieking can’t stand her so annoying."

A third added: "I hope Green suit woman is never on tv again, in fact the whole lot are über annoying… jhc !"

Meanwhile another wrote: "Who would’ve thought #houseofgames could find contestants more annoying than that Kemah that was on a couple of weeks ago."

In the end Stephen had the biggest opportunity to celebrate as he won the first episode.

However, with four more days to go, it remains to be seen if he will continue to triumph - and if any of them calm down a bit.
