The Chase legend Shaun Wallace pays tribute to ITV co-star as they leave the show
SHAUN Wallace has paid tribute to Beat The Chasers co-star Issa Schultz after he temporarily replaced Anne Hegerty.
The Dark Destroyer recently took to social media to offer some kind words to Issa, who filled in for Anne on the ITV spin-off show.
Issa replaced The Governess after she was forced to miss filming due to contracting coronavirus.
This means she won't appear alongside her other fellow Chasers Mark Labbett, Jenny Ryan, Paul Sinha and Darragh Ennis.
The 63-year-old fan favourite took to Twitter and announced that quiz champion Issa would be taking her place.
Shaun also took to the platform and paid tribute to the quizzer after they wrapped up filming the show.
Sharing a selfie of the pair earlier this month, Shaun then thanked Issa for stepping into Anne's shoes.
He captioned the post: "The Super Nerd was just super! Issa, it was an absolute pleasure to work with you again. I hope that will happen sooner rather than later."
Viewers flocked to comment on the post, with one fan writing: "Issa and Shaun on the same team - I'm so excited I can't cope."
A second wrote: "Thank you so much Shaun for looking after Issa for us!"
While a third asked: "Where was Anne?"

Anne explained her show absence and shared: "Unfortunately, I’ve contracted Covid-19 so won’t be filming this series of Beat The Chasers.
"The fantastic Issa will be stepping in for me and I’m looking forward to watching the series when it’s on-air later this year. I feel fine, but I'm still positive!"
Issa is best known Down Under for his regular appearances on the Australian version of The Chase and is also an eight-time winner of the Australian Quizzing Championships.
