Saturday Night Takeaway fans rejoice as ‘show returns’ with Scarlett Moffatt in hilarious sketch
SATURDAY Night Takeaway fans were relieved they got to see Ant and Dec on their tellies even though the show was postponed.
Viewers were left fuming as Ant and Dec announced that the show is OFF air tonight as they reminded fans on Twitter explaining that ITV had opted to air the rugby instead.
But Channel 5 swooped in to the rescue with a nostalgic look at the duo's best moments since the beginning of their careers.
Fans rejoiced watching Ant & Dec's 30 Greatest Moments as they took a walk down memory lane of the presenters' more than 20 year career.
The throwback show opened with a hilarious sketch featuring former Gogglebox star Scarlett Moffatt.
The sketch started with And and Dec sitting in the Saturday Night Takeaway with boxes of popcorn alongside This Morning hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.
They were settling in to watch a musical about Ant and Dec's life, which started with Scarlett being wheeled out in a hospital bed.
She was playing a woman who had just given birth to twins – hilariously the babies were supposed to be Ant and Dec even though the Geordie boys were not related.

The joke was that for their entire careers, people always confused which of the two was Ant and which one was Dec.
"We're sorry to jump in, but we're not actually twins," they say before poking fun at each other.
Viewers at home were relieved to get their Ant and Dec fill.
"No @itvtakeaway tonight @antanddec but they’re on @channel5_tv now with their greatest TV moments which is quite a lot this is quite good," celebrated one fan on Twitter.
Another added: "As there'll be no #SaturdayNightTakeaway tonight, you can still get to fill that Ant and Dec shaped void in a form of a documentary. 'Ant and Dec's 30 Greatest Moments' airing later at 7:30pm on Channel 5!"
And a third wrote: "Channel 5 to the rescue tomorrow. They are showing Ant and Dec 30 greatest moments tomorrow at 7.30."
ITV revealed earlier this month that Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and the Starstruck final have both been postponed next week to make way for a rugby double-header.
Declan Donnelly and Anthony McPartlin wrote on Twitter earlier today: "Remember there’s no show this weekend as we pass Saturday night over to the rugby.
"But they’re only borrowing it! We’ll be keeping your Takeaway warm until it all kicks off again in studio next Saturday 26th March!"
One raging viewer replied: "Why don't they put rugby on another f**king channel."
They also explained last weekend that they would be getting a break - and it was news to many fans.
Declan said: "You may have heard, some of you, that there is no show next week because of the rugby."

To audible groans Dec, 46, added: "I know. It's sad."
