Danniella Westbrook reveals she’s eyeing a new soap role as she takes ANOTHER swipe at EastEnders for recasting her
DANNIELLA Westbrook has revealed she has her sights set on a role in another soap as she hit out at EastEnders once again.
The actress, 48, has said she would love to tread the cobbles in Coronation Street or wind up at the Woolpack in Emmerdale.
Speaking to GB News' Mark Dolan, the troubled star opened up about how she isn't done with the world of soap.
She said: "I would love to do Emmerdale or Corrie. I would also love to get back into stage acting where it all started for me. I will be 50 next year and I'd love to one day play Momma in Chicago."
Danniella also took another swipe at EastEnders, who recently announced they were bringing back her character Sam Mitchell but played by Kim Medcalf.
Kim played the role between 2002-2005, but Danniella had returned in 2016 as the brassy troublemaker.

Danniella made it clear in the chat with Mark that the character of Sam was dead to her, saying: I"'m looking to the future. EastEnders was great, I grew up in front of the nation. But it's in the past. I am so RIP Sam Mitchell!"
The addict had made no secret of the fact she wasn't happy over the BBC's decision not to tell her they were not inviting her back.
She said: “I’ve been known as Sam Mitchell for 32 years. But nobody at EastEnders contacted me to let me know they had recast Kim in the role. There wasn’t even an email to my agent. I was shocked because they do have a responsibility to tell me and someone should have.”
She added: “The bosses have seen me go through addiction and they have no idea where I am today.

“Thankfully I’m OK. But if I hadn’t been it could have had very serious consequences for me."
Also in her interview on Mark Dolan Tonight, Danniella reflected on her struggles with addiction - and said she was bored of talking about that infamous nose photo.
"I am so bored of talking about that photo. I've been talking about it for 20 years now. I only really talk about it in therapy meetings now.
My drug abuse started well before I was famous. I was sexually abused as a child but I've managed to move on a lot with my life.
"And I don't blame my addiction on that. It was where I was introduced to drugs but it wasn't the cause.
"Because I am an addict, I would have a problem with lots of things whether it be coffee or something else. I can't put my issues down to being abused or being famous."
She went on to explain that she is now in a great place but never takes her recovery "for granted".
Danniella said: "I am happy today that I'm OK. I live for the moment, I live for today. If I don't put my recovery first I don't have a life and my children don't have a mother and my parents don't have a child.

She continued: "I will never take my condition for granted. I had 14 years of being clean then relapsed so I will always say, every day, that I am in recovery.
"I look back sometimes and say, "Why don't I throw that away?" I beat myself up about it a lot. But in other ways it was a reminder."
