1. Jean drops a bombshell

Jean's (played by Gillian Wright) behaviour continues to be at the root of a lot of worries for her daughter Stacey (Lacey Turner).

The cleaner first blocks the Walford market by purchasing a bouncy castle for all the kids and the owner of Stacey's Baps is mortified as she spots her mother on the castle.

Things gets worse when Jean accidentally hurts Arthur (Hunter Bell).

Jean embarrasses herself and is joined by Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) who is scolded by Stacey for not understanding Jean's condition.

Stacey then makes a huge decision and bans her mother from spending time alone with the kids.

Jean is hurt by this and, later on, confronts Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace), insisting she's more than capable of looking after the children.

However, she proves herself wrong when she manages to slip out to the tube station with her grandson Arthur.

Jean drops a bombshell on the young boy by telling him his biological father Kush was actually murdered by serial killer Gray Atkins.

2. Stacey is declared dead

This triggers a huge argument between Stacey and her mother - whom she partially resents for pushing her to tell the truth about Kush's death to Arthur.

But the row escalates behind closed doors and, soon, mother and daughter are no longer on speaking terms.

Jean turns to cabbie Harvey and surprises him by barging into his home.

She announces to him and Rocky that she will be moving in with them.

As for Stacey, Jean cuts all ties with her - declaring her dead in the process.

3. Kat takes action for Tommy

Kat feels like her hands are tied when it comes to her son Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall).

Coming up, Tommy is filled with dread as he watches a video by his bully Sid making fun of him.

The playground bullies then taunt him until Isaac Baptiste (Stevie Basaula) spots them and breaks it all up.

Kat remains on edge as she waits for someone to pick up a package for Phil but Isaac intervenes.

He quickly tells her about the extent of Tommy being bullied.

With the safety of her son in school hanging in balance, Kat chooses to take action to help him.

4. Will is in a dangerous situation

After she reappeared in the Square, Jada (played by Kelsey Calladine-Smith) has attracted the attention of Will (Freddie Phillips).

Since then, he has been getting himself into trouble in a bid to get her affection and is now set to be thrown into another dangerous situation.

Will has already been manipulated to take part in underage drinking.

Jada and her friends first come up with the idea of a party and Will enters the salon asking for an invite.

Confused, Jada then realises that her friends have sent out a massive invite on her behalf, despite her trying to cancel everything.

The party still goes ahead and Jada succeeds in getting Zack Hudson (James Farrar) and Martin Fowler (James Bye) to leave.

Jada's friends and Will come round, ready to party, but when nobody else shows up, the girls begin to ask questions.

Will then takes an unnecessary risk until Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) ends the party after checking in.

Sonia takes Will home but consequences are looming on the horizon for Jada.

5. Janine leaves Walford

Since her return to the borough in September, 2021, Janine (Charlie Brooks) has caused a lot of trouble.

However, she has also shown an interest in The Vic landlord Mick (Danny Dyer).

While she comforted him after he learned the truth about Tina Carter's death, their connection grows stronger.

But Janine isn't completely satisfied and informs him that they should take some space from one another.

She makes a drastic move… away from the Square.

Mick is more puzzled and feels like a fool when Janine rejects the flowers he bought for her to thank her for her support.

Janine opens up about her decision and insists she needs time away from Mick as she wants their relationship to be real and not built on pain or desperation.
