Dick, 62, and Angel, 43, posted the photo from Petale's first day at home, where she could be seen being cuddled by the family.

Dick was joined by the couple's children, Dorothy and Arthur, who smiled wide for the photograph taken in 2020.

Little Dorothy could be seen kissing the Kerry Blue Terrier puppy's foot, who was lovingly held in Dick's arms.

"Can you believe it's almost been two years since Petale came to live at The Chateau," the caption detailed.

"Here she is on her very first day with the Strawbridges"

Fans immediately flooded the comments to dub the snap "gorgeous" and gush over "adorable" pooch Petale.

"Love little Dorothy, kissing Petal’s foot," one wrote, as a second chimed in: "This is a gorgeous photo."

"She’s gorgeous and I bet happy to have you home," a third said, as a fourth concluded: ";Aww, adorable."

It comes after Dick and Angel said goodbye to the "special" show in an emotional post on Instagram.

The Channel 4 favourites have been busy on tour over the past six weeks before marking their final show with a goodbye to fans.

Taking to their Instagram page on Wednesday they posted a series of snaps from the tour, alongside their children Arthur and Dorothy.

"We are home, after nearly 6 weeks on the road touring, we arrived back to the Chateau in the early hours of yesterday morning," the post read.

“It's truly been an honour and a privilege and we have loved every second. It's been great to see & meet so many of you and to hug family.

“Thank you so much if you came to see us," the couple signed off.

Dick and Angel went on to share some of what they had been up to since getting back home without the prospect of a camera crew.
