Peaky Blinders first look at episode 4 teases shock new alliance as Tommy grapples with life-changing news

PEAKY Blinders has given fans a first look at the highly-anticipated upcoming fourth episode, teasing the drama.

The latest instalment of the BBC show, which aired over the weekend, ended with devastating twist as Tommy Shelby faced losing his daughter.

Unpredictable Tommy, played by Cillian Murphy, came face to face with losing daughter Ruby - seeing him start to mentally break down.

The gang ringleader looked capable of anything after the loss, before the episode came to an abrupt end leaving fans in the dark.

Now, the BBC have teased the fourth episode in new images, suggesting an unlikely union with between him and Michael's wife Gina.

Gina, played by Anna Taylor-Joy, has ensured a less than friendly relationship with Tommy until this point.

While the pair appear to have formed an alliance, seen sitting together discussing something serious - the details are still unknown.

Meanwhile, a second image shows Tommy in a stand-off with newcomer Hayden Stagg, depicted by Line of Duty's Stephen Graham.

The fourth episode, titled Sapphire, promises viewers that it will be "life-changing" for Tommy, as he "receives unexpected news".

"Tommy establishes a connection between crime and political power that could alter the course of history," the synopsis reads.

"He also receives life-changing news from an unexpected source."

It comes days after viewers were brought to tears over the devastating death of Tommy Shelby's daughter Ruby.

Fans of the Birmingham crime gang drama are now expecting Tommy Shelby to go on a rampage after the devastating tragedy.

His young daughter Ruby, played by Orla McDonagh, was diagnosed with consumption and undergoing treatment before passing away.

While Tommy's wife Lizzie (Natasha O'Keeffe) berated him for not being at Ruby's bedside, BBC viewers took to social media to share their sadness over the young girl's death.

"Waiting for Tommy to now go on a mad one. Can’t believe they done that with Ruby", one viewer wrote.

"Man this ending of Peaky Blinders just broken my heart…poor Ruby!!", another complained.

One fan commented: "Tommy's going to watch the world burn now isn't he, now Ruby is dead."
