What is the 'what a sad little life Jane' meme?

The popular meme comes from an episode on the well-known TV series Come Dine With Me.

The show sees four people host dinner parties for one another in a bid to win the £1,000 cash prize.

In 2016, contestant Peter Marsh unleashed his anger towards his fellow contestants after finding out he came fourth place.

The clip saw Peter, Charlotte, Jane and Adam all at Peter's house for the final evening, which saw Peter announce the winner of the cash prize - Jane won.

It's safe to say that Peter was left more than disappointed over the news that he had not won.

Shaking his head, he told his co-star: "You won Jane. Enjoy the money, I hope it makes you very happy. Dear Lord, what a sad little life, Jane."

He continues: "You ruined my night, completely, so you could have the money, but I hope now you spend it on getting some lessons in grace and decorum because you have all the grace of a reversing dump truck without any tyres on. "

Charlotte and Adam continue to awkwardly sit on the sofa as they congratulate Jane for winning.

His rant secured himself as one of the most memorable contestants on the show and has since become an internet meme.

There are now greeting cards, handbags, jumpers and mugs all bearing his face and the famous catchphrase.
