EMMERDALE fans are ready to boycott the soap if a beloved character is killed off.
Spoilers have confirmed Marlon Dingle (played by Mark Charnock) will be put in danger next week on the ITV soap.
Ready to take his relationship with Rhona Goskirk to the next level in upcoming scenes of the long-running drama, the Emmerdale chef bites the bullet and asks for her hand in marriage next week.
But an elated Marlon collapses and suffers a life-changing stroke as he looks for Rhona's ring, before being taken to hospital.
His daughter April acts fast in a bid to save his life and he is soon prepped for surgery.
As his recovery isn't yet guaranteed, ITV viewers are expecting the worst and already going wild on Twitter.

Most are worried that Marlon won't make it through the operation and are ready to give up on the programme altogether.
One viewer wrote: "Oh no! What's wrong with Marlon? You can't kill him off too. We need Marlon. Please don't take him away."
Another promised: "If they kill Marlon then I’ve done with watching Emmerdale!."
One viewer pleaded: "Do me at least a favour and don't kill him off please, he's one of my favourites in the show."

But while some are reluctant to see Marlon go through such turmoil, other viewers have stated online that the upcoming storyline could be important and are even eager to watch it unfold on screens.
One viewer, who survived a stroke earlier in the year, penned: "Interested to see Marlon’s take on it and how the story unfolds".
Another one commented: "Really happy that they are doing this [storyline]. And super happy that this is going to be an uplifting SL where the family bandies together to help Marlon!"
Spoilers have confirmed that Charity and Chas Dingle could put their differences aside after fighting over the future of The Woolpack during one intense confrontation.
The warring landladies have been at odds since Charity bought the iconic pub alongside her son Ryan Stocks.
But how will Marlon cope with his health struggles?
