Emmerdale fans demand Cain Dingle is jailed after forgotten storyline exposes him as a paedophile

EMMERDALE fans are demanding Cain Dingle is sent to jail after a forgotten storyline showed him to be a paedophile.

The village hardman - who is played by actor Jeff Hordley in the ITV soap - has always been a bad boy and a criminal.

But fans were shocked to be reminded of just how low Cain has sunk before.

In classic Emmerdale from 2001 that was repeated last week, Cain was shown to be a paedophile who groomed a 15 year old girl in a sick revenge scheme against her mum.

He slept with Ollie, 15, when she was underage in order to hurt her mother, his ex Angie.

The sickening scenes saw Cain try to force Angie into witnessing his vile actions by calling her before the act.

And viewers were sickened by it - and think Cain deserves to go to prison for his historic sexual abuse of an underage girl.

One wrote: “Cain is a dirty dog, and seeing him in the classic episodes has made me dislike him in the current ones. 

“I used to like him too. I can’t believe how disgusting he was back then.

“And I hate how his family, and pretty much everyone else, just caved in to his threats, and were always so desperate to keep things from him in case he went ape****.”

A second said: "Ollie Reynolds was 15 when Cain had sex with her. So yeah, he’s a paedophile.”

Another insisted he be treated exactly as paedophile Maya Stepney was: “He should’ve been treated like Maya was. Both went after underage kids.”

A fourth said: “I don’t know how they getaway with this SL they certainly wouldn’t getaway with it today. 

“I’ve found it very distasteful the whole thing and how she as a mother can help him get away with it I don’t know.”

Others called for him to be jailed and said it had ruined the character for them.
