Emmerdale spoilers: April Windsor finds dad Marlon collapsed after devastating stroke

VILLAGE residents are set for another wedding as Rhona Goskirk and Marlon Dingle are ready to get engaged.

However, things take a turn for the worse when April Windsor finds her father in a horrific state after a stroke in Emmerdale.

After the havoc caused by serial killer Meena Jutla and the Dingles' feud over The Woolpack, some characters in the eponymous village find a sense of peace despite minor obstacles.

Both Rhona (played by Zoe Henry) and her partner Marlon (Mark Charnock) are convinced they have found the love of a lifetime and decide to take their relationship to the next level.

Coming up, the pair are eager to simultaneously pop the question to one another and do so in a moment of pure joy.

Marlon then rushes out to go back to Smithy, where he left the ring.

Time passes and the Emmerdale chef is a no show.

His daughter April (portrayed by Amelia Flanagan) is puzzled and goes back home in the hopes of finding him.

At this moment in time, April probably doesn't realise that she contributed to saving her father's life as Marlon was suffering from a stroke.

As he was looking for Rhona's ring, an elated Marlon grew confused when his vision became impaired.

He then collapsed to the floor, clinging to consciousness.

Remembering the F.A.S.T acronym, Marlon recognised he was suffering from facial and arm weakness as well as speech problems.

His self-diagnosis was harrowing - Marlon was suffering from a horrific stroke.

Thanks to April's quick reaction, he is rushed to the hospital and Rhona is left shaky, prepping him for surgery.

Marlon begs for her to stay but fails to speak clearly.

The village vet rushes out of his hospital room to hide her tears.
