Coronation Street fans seriously distracted by hospital blunder during Abi Webster childbirth scene
CORONATION Street viewers were VERY distracted by a hospital blunder in Friday's episode.
As Abi Webster vowed to fight for her newborn baby Alfie, fans of the soap were confused by nurse Aggie Bailey's presence, unable to discern where she really worked.
Lorna Laidlaw's Aggie left Corrie fans scratching their heads after Friday's trip to the cobbles.
But before the character even could, ITV viewers were dealt with some bittersweet scenes after Abi (played by Sally Carman) was given tragic news about her baby Alfie.
As she copes with a recent drug relapse, the mechanic shocked box fans by unexpectedly giving birth to a boy.
Last week, she found out he was severely sick and in urgent need of an operation.
Abi vowed to stick by her son and bonded with him during Friday night's episode by explaining why she had chosen the name Alfie for him.
She went on to reveal that Alfie was the name of her son Seb's favourite teddy bear during his childhood.

The significance of the name tugged at many heartstrings - until nurse Aggie showed up, seemingly out of the blue.
Corrie viewers turned to Twitter to point out the blunder, assuring they had seen her everywhere in the Weatherfield hospital and were genuinely puzzled as to what service she truly worked in.
"Aggie who works in every department of the hospital," one viewer noted.
Another jumped in: "How does Aggie get EVERYWHERE in that hospital ? One min A and E, then paediatric ward and now NICU."
A third fan was more annoyed than anything else: "Why is Aggie’s nose in everyone’s business? First it was Tim and now Abi, she’s only a nurse in the hospital and other departments have nothing to do with her."
A fourth penned: "How come Aggie is always in every department in the hospital?"
Earlier this year, Aggie was seen at Tim Metcalfe's (Joe Duttine) side as he was facing heart problems.
He also battled the idea of getting triple bypass surgery and coming clean to his wife about his health issues was harder than imagined.
Aggie supported Tim throughout the ordeal, leading Tim's wife Sally to believe they were having an affair.

One viewer quipped that Aggie was following the footsteps of former police officer Craig Tinker who has appeared in several crime scenes before leaving the force with Faye Windass' confession weighing heavily on him.
"Only Nurse Aggie taking over from former only Copper Craig", joked the fan.
