Saturday Night Takeaway fans devastated as Ant and Dec announce beloved feature is coming to an end

SATURDAY Night Takeaway fans were baffled tonight as Ant and Dec announced Fleur East's rainbow game was coming to an end.

Despite the series having only started three weeks ago, the pair revealed today's outing would be the last.

The feature sees Fleur East broadcasting from around the UK

Dec Donnelly said: "For the last time this series we're going to chase the rainbow."

However, insisting that their I'm A Celeb pal wasn't losing her place on the show, he added: "Fleur will be back in two weeks with something very exciting."

The game Chase The Rainbow, which sees viewers left scrambling out of their home and to the secret location if they spot the rainbow lights out of their window.

But some were baffled about why it's been binned when the series is only half way through it's run.

One fan tweeted: "The last takeaway rainbow of the series it's only week 4."

Another asked: "Wonder Why is it the last Rainbow of the Series."

Some suggested the evenings would become so light in nights to come that the rainbow would no longer be visible.

Ant and Dec also announced to viewers that there would no only be no Chase the Rainbow next week, but no show at all.

Dec was seen explaining to the assembled crew on the live TV hit that they would be getting a break next week - and it was news to many fans.

He said: "You may have heard, some of you, that there is no show next week because of the rugby."

One viewer tweeted: "What do you mean there’s no show next week because of the rugby, why can we not have nice things."

Another viewer fumed, saying ITV could air it on one of its other four networks, writing: "Why don't they put rugby on another f**king channel."

They explained that the show was being forced off ITV's main channel in favour of live rugby.
