YOUR Garden Made Perfect fans have been left puzzled by a couple who were desperate for a backyard that wasn't overlooked.

Lisa and Justin, who have two kids, complained to presenter Angela Scanlon that they felt "exposed" and "overlooked" in their current garden.

Yet the couple, who work as business consultants, had bought a semi-detached house located in the centre of a "huge housing development".

Justin and Lisa, from Wokingham, Berks, had planted a few trees in an attempt to block out prying eyes but felt they needed more.

Viewers of the BBC Two show, however, were left baffled as to why they purchased the modern property, considering it is overlooked on ALL sides.

One tweeted: "#YourGardenMadePerfect why buy a new build with a tiny garden if you want privacy and a woodland glade as a garden?!"

Another added: "Don't want to be overlooked, don't move to the middle of a housing estate."

A third asked: "So why would they buy a house that was so overlooked? What were they thinking?#yourgardenmadeperfect."

And a fourth chimed in: "You didn’t notice how over looked your garden was before you bought it? #Yourgardenmadeperfect."

At the beginning of the BBC Two programme, presenter Angela explained that Lisa and Justin were "desperate to transform their overlooked plot into a sanctuary".

She added: "The plot lies in the centre of their housing development, meaning it is overlooked on all sides."

Justin told the cameras that he felt as though he was being looked at "all the time" if he ventured outside.

"I can feel it," he said. "I feel like there are eyes watching all the time and you can't just be natural and do what you want to do. This completely stops Lisa from coming out into the garden."

Lisa, who wanted a peaceful and tranquil garden after beating breast cancer, added: "It just makes me feel really uncomfortable, when I come outside. I just feel so exposed.

The couple spent £27,000 on the transformation and opted for expert Steve William's design of 'forest glade' outdoor space.

Huge fruit and multi-stem trees were planted into the ground and natural boulders were added to their garden to make a "wild hideaway".

Showing Angela his and Lisa's new space, Justin admitted: "I don't feel like I'm in an estate."
