GREAT British Menu viewers were up in arms last night after ripping into its latest “car crash” episode.
Chefs have been wowing audiences on national television this week, serving up a number of signature dishes on the BBC cooking programme.
The popular cookery show sees some of the UK’s top chefs battle it out to create a dish for the final banquet in the series finale.
Those watching at home, however, have slammed the standard of the chefs during Wednesday night’s episode, with some dubbing them as the “worst bunch of chefs ever”.
Alongside an emoji of an angry face, one person penned: “I'm sure it was said yesterday that it's the first time on Great British Menu for these chefs? Their inexperience is definitely showing tonight.”
Echoing their comments, someone else said: “Seems a bit of a car crash on the mains tonight so far.”
While a third added: “Must be one of the worst weeks for things going wrong and being late. Worst bunch of chefs ever.”
The show came under intense criticism earlier this week after producers subtitled partially deaf chef Mark Aisthorpe.
Viewers questioned the use of subtitles, insisting they were “patronising and unnecessary” given they could understand Mark without them.
Mark, who has worked with heavyweight chefs Gordon Ramsay and Marcus Wareing, brought plenty of fun to the kitchen.
His Chucklevision-inspired fish dish brought a smile to viewers' faces, especially when he pulled a "to you, to me" prank on veteran chef .
