2. Jealous Daisy strikes again
Meanwhile, Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) remains adamant on driving Nicky Wheatley (Kimberly Hart-Simpson) away from her boyfriend Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard).
After apologising for attempting to sabotage their friendly reunion, the Rovers barmaid lets her insecurities get the best of her once again.
Drama kicks off again when Daniel reveals Nicky has decided to apply for a teaching assistant post at Weatherfield High.
Daisy learns that Max Turner (Paddy Bever) - who has a long-running feud with Daniel - will be in her class and comes up with a plan.
As Daniel helps Nicky prepare for her interview, she asserts she wants to keep her history as a sex worker a secret and asks that Daisy never finds out.
Things don't turn out as planned, however, when Nicky tells Daniel her trial session at the school didn't go well.
Daniel lets Daisy know that Nicky failed to get the job and the barmaid is, at first glance, saddened by the news.
But Daisy shows clear relief as soon as Daniel's back is turned.

3. Abi reveals who her baby's father is
After telling Imran Habeeb (Charlie De Melo) she wasn't pregnant, Abi Webster (Sally Carman) became a mother again.
This week, after giving birth and astounding many viewers, Abi assures a social worker that she's already enrolled in rehab and determined to remain on the straight and narrow.
She assures that she will take whatever it takes to keep her baby, despite her past issues with addiction.
Later, she tells Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) that she has to prove she can offer her son Alfie a proper home, prompting the recently engaged character to quiz Imran.
Imran immediately assumes she's talking Abi and tracks the latter down at the hospital.
Abi drops a bombshell on the solicitor and admits she already knows the identity of her baby's father.
Imran finds out he's Alfie's father and asks to see his newborn son.
However, they turn to see Imran's fiancée Toyah watching from the hospital corridor.
Can they tell her the truth?
4. Leanne is horrified by Amy's relationship
Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) keeps going against the grain and remains romantically involved with Jacob Hay (Jack James Ryan).
The eighteen-year-old is determined to get her boyfriend accepted by her family and arranges lunch in the Bistro with her parents Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) and Tracy Barlow (Kate Ford).
But when she arrives with Jacob in tow, Steve and Tracy are horrified.
Tracy even threatens to walk out.
Despite wanting to pull them apart in previous episodes, Steve points out that Amy is an adult and can see whoever she wants.
On the other hand, Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) is horrified to spot the happy couple.
The Bistro owner reminds them that Jacob almost destroyed her family by grooming her adoptive son Simon (Alex Bain) into criminal activity.
A fight between Jacob and Simon breaks out and Amy is left with the choice between her relationship and her family.
Who will she pick?
5. Laura's health declines
As family drama unfolds in the cobbles, another character's health continues to deteriorate.
Since her return in Coronation Street, Laura Neelan (Kel Allen) has been known to fight terminal cancer.
But just as she's involved in an uphill battle, she is determined to find her former husband Rick in order to get her hands on money for her daughter Kelly (Millie Gibson).
In a bid to find the loan shark, Laura has hired a PI but when she admits her pain is getting worse, a guilty Gary Windass (Mikey North) urges her to cancel the PI and see a doctor instead.
Gary has other motives for this as he knows he is responsible for Rick's disappearance.
Will Laura go along with what he has to say?
6. Maria gets some help
While Gary continues to cover his tracks, his wife Maria (Samia Longchambon) is getting overshadowed by a political opponent.
As she poses for photos in Victoria Garden, her nemesis, Bernard (Derren Litten), appears with James and Ashley.
The journalist turns his attention to the two footballers and Maria is soon forgotten.
Maria is deflated by Bernard's cheap tactics and comes to the realisation she may as well throw in the towel.
However, Phill Whittaker (Jamie Kenna) reckons he may be able to help her.
7. Lydia gets a harsh threat
Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) is tired of being made out to be the bad guy.
In recent months, Lydia Chambers (portrayed by Rebecca Ryan) has made his life a living nightmare for reasons that still need to be revealed.
Adam is first urged by his uncle Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard) to phone his wife Sarah (Tina O'Brien) to try and patch things up with her.
But upon seeing his hungover state, the Underworld PA refuses to speak to him and sends Adam packing.
As he gets thrown out, he spots Lydia and storms over to her.
Adam tells her he will prove what a liar she is and expose her schemes.
8. Adam goes too far
However, the solicitor could be in more trouble after he makes a shocking claim about his wife Sarah.
Tired of being vilified, Adam hits rock bottom and drowns his sorrows.
He eventually flirts with a girl at the Rovers and, during his conversation with the stranger, tells her his wife died in a car crash.
Daniel is then warned by barmaid Daisy about the encounter and arrives just in time to explain that Adam's spouse is still very much alive.
Will Sarah find out?
9. Carla questions everything
Carla Connor (Alison King) is one step ahead of Lydia this week and begins to turn on her.
As fans suspected and after speaking with Adam, Carla issues a word of advice to Sarah.
Carla tells her PA at the Underworld factory to think hard before cutting ties with Adam.
She claims she is unsure on whether Lydia can really be trusted.
