Love Island’s Dr Alex George on celeb dating app in bid to find love after bitter split with ex

DOCTOR Alex George has signed up to celebrity dating app Raya after he was dumped by his girlfriend for cheating.

The former Love Island star split from Ellie Hetch last month after a year of dating – with claims he was messaging other women.

Alex, 27, has now joined a legion of stars using Raya to try and find love.

A source said: “Alex wanted to get straight back into the dating game and has got a profile on Raya.

“He is using a selfie he took in his car as his lead profile picture and he describes himself as a campaigner.

“Alex also chose New Light by John Mayer as his song.

“Seeing as he’s got a reputation as a bit of a love rat now, that song seems ideal.”

The Sun first revealed how Alex’s girlfriend Ellie, who works as a barrister’s clerk, was left devastated to discover he had been “sexting” other women behind her back.

A number of these messages were shared with The Sun and showed Alex communicating with a number of different women during his relationship with Ellie.

A friend close to the couple said at the time: “Alex cheated on Ellie very early on in their relationship but she chose to forgive him and move on.

“She has really been his rock during a very difficult time for him and decided to give him the benefit of the doubt.

“Unfortunately, Alex went on to sext a number of other women during their relationship and it all came to a head when someone contacted Ellie and spilled the beans about what he had been up to.

“Alex insisted he hadn’t slept with anyone else.

“Ellie is really struggling to believe him though because he was often away on work trips and messages showed him begging to meet girls in hotel rooms.”

After that story came to light another individual came forward last week and claimed Alex had cheated on another girlfriend.

A woman showed her support for Ellie by sharing her own experience on TikTok, writing: “While no one believes Dr Alex cheated on his gf but you defiantly do because he was in your DMs during his relationship before Ellie.”

In the now-deleted video, she then posted the messages in question, sent in 2020 which show him asking her if she wants his number but the rest of the correspondence is obscured.
