Saturday Night Takeaway fans worried as Stephen Mulhern ‘disappears’ from show for TWO weeks running
SATURDAY Night Takeaway fans have shared their concern after Stephen Mulhern 'vanished' from the show.
The comedian, 44, is a regular on the ITV1 family programme but he has not appeared on screen for two weeks' running.
Viewers have noticed his absence and are growing increasingly concerned for his whereabouts.
Stephen last appeared on Saturday Night Takeaway on February 19, where he dressed up a Donald Trump for the series opener.
Many fans have now taken to Twitter, asking both Stephen and show hosts Ant and Dec if all is okay.
One tweeted: "Where is Stephen? He hasn't been on for two weeks nor been on twitter, really hope he is ok! #SaturdayNightTakeaway."
Another wrote: "@StephenMulhern hope everything is ok with you, you were missed from Saturday Night Takeaway!!"
Reaching out, a third asked: "@antanddec @StephenMulhern #SaturdayNightTakeaway where is Stephen he's not been in the show for the past two weeks??"
The Sun Online has contacted ITV for comment.
MAGICAL CAREER
Stephen began his career as a magician. He became interested in magic aged just 11, when his dad would teach him tricks before bed.
He went on to be the youngest member to join The Magic Circle, which led to an appearance on Blue Peter.
Stephen's talent later led to TV appearances and, in 1997, he won The Big Big Talent Show, hosted by Jonathan Ross.
The star is now a regular face on telly, having previously hosted both spin-offs for Dancing On Ice and Britain's Got Talent.
He is famed for presenting ITV's Catchphrase and has starred as a regular on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway since 2016.
One of Stephen's segments, In For A Penny, proved so popular that he landed his own full-show of the same name in 2019.
Last month, Stephen stood in for Phillip Schofield on Dancing On Ice while the 59-year-old isolated due to Covid-19.
