THE CHASE viewers were unimpressed by Bradley Walsh's 'harsh' snub to an unlucky contestant.
It came as a potential jackpot of £66,000 was at risk of being lost to the Chaser on the ITV show.
Emma, Lizz and Brian were left in The Final Chase on Monday's episode, playing to secure their share of £22,000 each.
But viewers were left seething as Bradley refused to accept one of the players.
Brian had already proved he knew his stuff, having contributed a massive £54,000 during his head-to-head with Sean 'The Dark Destroyer' Wallace.
But when Bradley began to ask a question about the famous puppeteer Jim Henson, Brian buzzed in with what he believed to be the correct answer.
Bradley asked: "What Jim Henson TV show was first seen in the UK in...," before Brian interrupted with: "Muppets".
But the quiz host insisted the correct answer was: "The Muppet Show".

When the round had ended, Bradley commented: "Bad luck with The Muppets as well, The Muppet Show."
To which Shaun added: "Yeah, it was unlucky" before going on to praise the trio.
He continued: "Brilliant performance from the team, especially Brian. That was fantastic."
But some fans were not as forgiving as they rushed to Twitter to comment.
One said: "A tad harsh not allowing the Muppets! #TheChase."
Another ranted: "'Bad luck on the muppets' says Brad. Ooooft I'd be flipping tables at that decision #TheChase.”
“‘The Muppets’ AKA 'The Muppet Show’ unnecessarily harsh! #thechase,” said a third.
But some were more understanding of Bradley's decision and one viewer added: "No, he couldn't have allowed ‘The Muppets’ You know why? BECAUSE IT WAS THE WRONG F***ING ANSWER #TheChase".
Another showed the host their supported and asked: "Can we not blame Bradley for not accepting Muppets? He didn't write the question FFS!
"He has people in his earpiece telling him what answer is or isn't acceptable! #TheChase".
Despite the debate on whether or not the answer should have been accepted by Bradley, it was a happy ending.
The group managed to beat the Chaser and went home with £22,000 each.
