EastEnders’ Danny Dyer teases ‘epic’ leaving storyline for Mick as he confirms travel show with daughter Dani Dyer
WALFORD favourite Danny Dyer has teased his exit from EastEnders will be one not to be missed.
The actor, 44, appeared on Zoe Ball's Radio 2 Breakfast show this morning and revealed his final scenes as Mick Carter will be explosive.
He said: "We've just been pitched my leaving storyline. It's going to be epic. It's huge."
And Danny's TV wife Kellie Bright, who plays Linda Carter, confirmed the scenes will deliver on every level.
She added: It is going to be epic. I don't know how I'm going to get through, because I'm very sad that Danny is going. But it's going to be very exciting."

Danny, who has been on the soap since 2013, also confirmed The Sun's story that his next TV gig will be a travel show with his daughter Dani.
He told Zoe: "Yes, we are [doing a travel show]. We're doing that soon."
The popular podcast host, who fronts Sorted with The Dyers with Dani, went on to explain that he is leaving his long-running gig so he can collaborate more with his offspring.
"I want to work with my Dani a lot more," he explained. "One of the reasons I've decided to leave the show is because I want to explore more work with my little Dan. I love her so much.
"I just think we've got such a natural chemistry and an interesting relationship, it needs to be explored more. So we're excited about that, actually."
The Sun broke the news yesterday that Danny and Dyer will be appearing in a globe-trotting new series on E4.
There was speculation his first post-EastEnders gig would be a big drama role, so he has surprised everyone with this surprise direction.
A TV insider said: “Nobody would have predicted this would have been his first move, even though he did say at the time he was keen to ‘try some other stuff’.”
The creators of the new shows hope Love Island winner Dani, 25, will attract younger viewers.
EastEnders has yet to confirm when Danny will finish but filming for the travel series is expected to start this summer.
EastEnders confirmed Danny's exit from the show back in January.
A spokesperson for the soap said: “Danny will be leaving EastEnders when his contract comes to an end later this year.
"Danny has made Mick Carter an iconic character which we shall always be grateful for.
"However we won’t be saying goodbye just yet as there’s still quite some time – and plenty of explosive drama for Mick - to come before he departs Walford."
A friend of the actor explained: “Danny loves EastEnders but as an actor he feels the time is right to explore other roles.
