He filmed himself on board the plane, talking about how often he used to fly between the UK and LA.

“It’s been a long since I’ve done this route on a BA a plane, on the way to LA, a route I’ve spent so much time even lived there for a bit,” he told his Instagram followers.

“I used to do this route once a week sometimes, there and back in a weekend.

“I just cannot wait to get back there, it’s been about two years since I’ve been.”

Mark revealed he was going to “see some old friends” and that he was “absolutely buzzing” to get back.

He later showed off his Sunday roast dinner, complete with Yorkshire Puddings, which he enjoyed with his legs up under a blanket and watching some telly.

Mark complimented his meal with a scotch in an impressive looking tumbler.

“Sunday roast, a scotch and sleep,” he captioned the photo, before adding “goodnight” to a close-up photo of his scotch.

Mark then shared a photo of his famous wife sitting in the lounge beside him as Michelle held her arms up in excitement, and he gave a thumbs up.

The pair didn’t take long to hit the town, enjoying drinks and a diner themed bar with some friends.

They sang along loudly to the music and looked like they were having a blast.

“We’re home,” Mark declared as he shared a video spanning the LA night skyline.

Mark moved back to the UK in 2019 after hosting US entertainment news TV show Extra so he could be closer to Michelle whose career was going from strength to strength.

He negotiated to be let out of his contract in order to live in the same country as his actress wife, but left on good terms and the door is open for him to work with them in the future.

Mark told The Sun at the time: “I’m no longer living in LA. I was there for nearly two years and had the most amazing time.

“It just feels like the right time to come back to the UK and live here with my wife and family.”

After leaving the role that made her a name on Coronation Street, Michelle took the lead gig on BBC military drama, Our Girl.

She quit that show in 2020 and has since starred as Erin on working class comedy Brassic.

Mark rose to fame on reality show The Only Way Is Essex which he left in 2010 and after leaving Extra took a gig presenting a show on Heart FM where he still works.

The famous couple have spent the past couple of years building their  £1.3million Essex mega-mansion, dream home.
