Hollyoaks cast THIRD Brookside legend as it’s announced Suzanne Collins is joining soap
BROOKSIDE legend Suzanne Collins is set to make her TV comeback after landing a role on Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks.
The actress, who is best known for playing Nikki Shadwick on the iconic soap opera between 1996 - 2003, has signed up to play a mystery character who first appears in the fictional village later this month/early next month.
It’s currently unclear exactly how long Suzanne’s stint on Hollyoaks will last, but she started filming her scenes back in January.
A source said: "She will be making a discrete appearance in Hollyoaks later this month as a nod to Brookside's history.
"The star will be playing a client of Verity's for a one-off appearance in the Channel 4 soap."
Since her final scenes in the very last episode of Brookside aired in 2003, Suzanne has gone on to appear in a string of TV and stage roles.

Her most recent role was in Channel 5 prison drama The Clink in early 2019.
Suzanne was often praised for her role on Brookside.
During her time on the show, her character was involved in a number of high profile storylines including date-rape, a stalking ordeal, as well as having to come to terms with her father and her sister being tragically killed.
Suzanne is the latest Brookside star to sign up for a stint Hollyoaks in recent months.
Actor Michael Starke, who played Sinbad on the soap, signed up last year to appear in a number of cameo appearances.
While fellow Brookside legend Alex Fletcher has appeared on Hollyoaks as Diane Hutchinson since 2010.
