PAMELA Anderson expressed her dissatisfaction with Hulu's retelling of her marriage to Tommy Lee.
In order to "tell the real story," the Baywatch alum teamed up with Netflix to produce her own self-titled documentary.
When did Pamela Anderson's Netflix documentary come out?
On January 31, 2023, Pamela Anderson's documentary Pam, a love story was released via Netflix.
The project was first revealed by Pamela on March 2, 2022.
In a note posted to Instagram, the Home Improvement actress teased: "My life, A thousand imperfections, A million misperceptions.
"Wicked, Wild, and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you.
"Not a victim, but a survivor and alive to tell the real story."
On the same day, Netflix reposted Pamela's note to their Twitter page and chimed in: "Pamela Anderson is ready to tell her story in a new documentary.
"The film, which has been in the making for several years, will feature the pop culture icon setting the record straight as she looks back on her professional path and her personal journey."
The premiere of Pam, a love story coincides with the release date for her autobiography Love, Pamela.

The documentary also became available almost a year after Hulu released Pam & Tommy, where she was played by Lily James.
How did Pamela respond to Pam & Tommy?
In response to Pam & Tommy's portrayal of her marriage to Tommy Lee and their sex tape scandal, the TV star says in her documentary: "I blocked that stolen tape out of my life in order to survive.
"Now that it’s all coming up again, I feel sick. I want to take control of the narrative for the first time.
"There is no use figuring out anything about it. The damage is done. Why would I want to go through that again?
"It feels just like when the tape was stolen. You are just a thing that is owned by the world."
She further expressed to : "It was just shocking, Tommy probably thought it was funny.
"I remember Tommy writing me a note saying, ‘Don’t let this hurt you like it did the first time,’ because he had heard through the kids that I was kind of struggling with the idea of bringing this all up again.
"I don’t think he was portrayed kindly. I just know that I refuse to watch it."

Regarding Lily James' characterization of her, Pamela commented to : "I heard she’d been nominated for an Emmy, but maybe that was a joke.
"It’s not her fault; it’s a job. But whoever created it – well, it just feels like something else stolen."
