Line of Duty’s Martin Compston admits he HASN’T watched Vicky McClure’s Trigger Point as she hits back at critics
LINE of Duty's Martin Compston has admitted he HASN'T watched Vicky McClure's Trigger Point.
The finale of ITV crime thriller wrapped up last Sunday - and left many viewers feeling very underwhelmed.
In the show, Vicky's character ex-military bomb disposal operative Lana Washington was desperate to figure out who was behind the bomb threats of a white supremacist group.
Some slammed the final episode as a "waste of time" because of the "dreadful" twist right at the end.
However, Vicky's good pal Martin, 37, can't comment as he's still not had the time to catch up on it.
Martin told The Sun's TV Mag: "I haven’t seen Trigger Point yet, I’m excited to binge it because I’m in Vegas at the minute, when I get back I’ll binge the lot of it.
"I’m absolutely delighted that Vicky McClure, of all people, is the biggest action star on British TV by far!
"It really really warms my heart."

It comes after Vicky, 38, took to Twitter to hit back at harsh critics.
The actress tweeted: "Rude comments are like a cold chocolate brownie…disappointing, still eat it but quickly forgotten.
"Warm chocolate brownies are the best…as are warm comments!"
Vicky and Martin met back in 2012 on set of Line of Duty.
Since then they've starred in six successful seasons of the police procedural TV series.
And it seems like they're pretty much going to be friends forever.
Martin, who is about to star in ITV's new drama Our House, added to The Sun TV Mag: "It’s been ten years now they’ve been in my life.
"They [Vicky and co-star Adrian Dunbar] were at my wedding and Vicky’s getting married and we’ll be there.
"We’ve been there for big moments in each other’s lives so it became a lot more than a job."
