EastEnders’ Zack Morris says emotional goodbye to co-stars including Shona McGarty and Lorraine Stanley
EASTENDERS' Zack Morris has said an emotional goodbye to the soap and his co-star after five years in Walford.
There were hugs, tears and kisses as Zack was given a big send off by some of the soap's biggest stars such as Shona McGarty, Lorraine Stanley and Jamie Borthwick.
Alongside pictures from the do, Zack wrote on Instagram: "Celebrating the end of an incredible era with some incredible people. You’ve all played a huge part in making me who I am today.
"The love will always run strong💙 Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. This is only the beginning… #GoodByeKeegs."
Shona commented: "Oh Zack. What a wonderful night. I will miss you so so much. 😢 xx So many great memories.
"Go out there and smash it xx Love you loads xx."
Zack hinted at his exit early last month with a cryptic message about needing to roll the dice to score a six.
Making his exit official, Zack said: "After five beautiful years on this incredible show, I have made the tough decision to leave Walford and give Keegan Butcher-Baker some well-earned rest.
“This show has quite frankly changed my life for the better. It will always hold a real loving place in my heart.
“The cast and crew of this show deserve every accolade that comes their way.

“The hard work, love and dedication that goes into making four episodes a week is immense and it's not to be taken lightly.
“This show has given me so much, not just as an actor but as a man.
“These invaluable lessons I have learned at EastEnders will stay with me for the rest of my life.
“I will forever see this whole experience as the biggest blessing I could have ever asked for. I loved every second."
Kate Oates, Head of Continuing Drama, BBC Studios, called Zack "an incredible asset".
There are now rumours that Maisie Smith will return as Tiffany Butcher for Zack's final scenes, with fans hoping they will have a happy exit together.
