Dinesh, an IT trainer from Bristol, was first of four contestants to take part in Monday night's instalment of The Chase, taking on Chaser Anne Hegerty.

Flocking to Twitter, fans were quick to compare the 45-year-old player to former Take That star Robbie.

One asked: "Is Robbie Williams playing the chase?"

Another added: "He looks a bit like Robbie Williams #TheChase."

Unfortunately for Dinesh, he lost out to Anne in the first round and was send packing by host Bradley Walsh.

Two more contestants followed suit, leaving one lady called Annabelle to face Anne in The Final Chase.

Having amassed an incredible prize pot of £80,000 all by herself, Annabelle managed to answer 20 questions correctly in two minutes.

But despite several pushbacks, Anne was victorious and Annabelle left empty handed.
