Towie filming delayed by four months as bosses plan cast trip to glam new location for first time ever
FILMING for the new series of The Only Way is Essex has been pushed back by FOUR months as bosses plan a glam trip for the cast.
Stars were due to start shooting in the coming weeks but producers have pushed it back to June - but The Sun can reveal that the likes of Chloe Sims and Amy Childs might soon be spotted somewhere a bit more exotic than Brentwood high street...
Series 30 of the ITVBe reality show was delayed due to Covid restrictions and now bosses want to ensure it's been worth the wait.
A source said: "Towie is still hugely popular with viewers and it was a shame when filming for the new series had to be pushed back.
"But producers are keen to make sure the new series is brilliant and a glam new location is just what they need.
"Dubai is at the top of their list and unsurprisingly the cast are hoping it works out. Either way, they all just want to get back to shooting the show."
A rep for Towie declined to comment when approached by The Sun.
Last month cast member Chloe Brockett revealed they were hoping to go abroad for the new series.

She said: "The season has been delayed because we want to film without Covid restrictions and be able to stand next to each other.
“We want to go on an away trip abroad and because television restrictions are a lot stricter to do that atm would be hard."
The Towie cast are certainly no strangers to Dubai, with Demi Sims and Amber Turner among the show stars having been snapped on holiday there.
But if the location gets the green light for filming it will be the first time the drama of Essex is filmed against the backdrop of the city.
Former Towie star Yazmin Oukhellou quit the show last year to pursue a property career in Dubai, so there's every chance fans could see her make a reappearance.
Previous series have seen the stars shooting in Barcelona, Ibiza and Marbella.
