Coronation Street’s Daisy Midgeley to show dark side as she tries to get rid of Daniel’s ex Nicky
CORRIE fans first believed Lydia Chambers would make Daniel Osbourne pay for dumping her.
However, with Nicky Wheatley's return to the ITV soap confirmed, Daisy Midgeley is set to show her nasty streak.
Couples are frequently put to the test in the cobbles.
Daisy and Daniel (portrayed by Rob Mallard) will be no exception as a familiar face will return to the long-running drama.
As soap bosses have confirmed, actress Kimberly Hart-Simpson will be reprising her role as Daniel's former love Nicky Wheatley.
Back on the straight and narrow, she will be applying for a job at Weatherfield High and is set to stay… prompting Daniel's current partner Daisy to do all she can to keep her man.

Speaking with The Sun, actress Charlotte Jordan teased her "very reactive" character will be "totally taken off guard" by Nicky's return as Daniel has told her "absolutely nothing" about her.
Daniel has however admitted he had been accused of having an inappropriate relationship with student Summer Spellman, adding further strain.
"I think instantly it's her little antennas go up. You know, it's a red flag", Charlotte commented.
"You know, she's a beautiful lady asking about her boyfriend who she's only just got back on a stable footing with. So Daisy being Daisy sees the threat and tries to get rid of them."
Daisy will waste no time in showing her dark side and will immediately speak out against Nicky's return to Coronation Street.
"I've said this before, but she's a very impulsive character", added Charlotte.
"She's very reactive. So you know, she'll hear something from someone beautiful, like Nicky and just impulsively go 'Waah! No, you can't have them go away, bye' and say something to get rid of her."
Daniel has been extremely secretive when it comes to Nicky as Daisy won't even be aware of the latter's past as a sex worker.

In Charlotte's eyes, this can only lead to more tension.
"I like to think she would be trying to be understanding and sympathetic, but Daisy being Daisy, and being so insecure, I think she'll just see her as a threat," she commented.
"She ends up making everything about her. So I don't think she'll she'll react as much maturely as she could."
The teacher could also be at the receiving end of Daisy's anger because of his lack of honesty.
"He's not being upfront, he's not being truthful", Charlotte said, adding: "and for someone who does go on about morality and all of that he's being a bit of a hypocrite, in my opinion."
Although she recognises her character has "a ruthless streak", Charlotte specifies that her main goal will be to "protect" her connection with Daniel after so many ups and downs.
"Because they've been so on and off, for them to just be getting back on an even field and even footing, I think she's going to try and protect that. Like I say, Daisy bring Daisy, she won't go about it in the right way."
"But it does come from a place of fear and a place of wanting to be with him, and just sort of wanting to protect what they have."
Can viewers expect a dramatic showdown between Daisy and Nicky?
"Yes, definitely", Charlotte went on, "it's what Corrie's known for really, strong women showdowns. So hopefully we can scrap these restrictions and actually get it done old school style. That would be lovely."
Former sex worker Nicky appeared in Coronation Street in 2020 and helped Daniel deal with his grief over his late wife Sinead.
