GARDEN Rescue fans have slammed a £6,000 transformation as the "worst ever" after comparing the new look to a "building site".
Tuesday night's instalment of the BBC show saw Karen and her husband Colin, from Romsey, ask the Rich brothers and Charlie Dimmock for help.
Karen, who works as a reverend for hospital patients towards the end of their life, was looking for a relaxing Italian retreat outside her home.
She and her other half told the experts that they wanted a "garden that she can unwind in and relax" so she could empty her mind after work.
"Maybe an Italian feel as we love Italy," Karen told the cameras. "Perhaps a pergola, some grape vines, something like that."
The couple had a moderate budget of £6,000 - which was granted to gardener Charlie, who planned to bring Italian elements to Hampshire.
The TV presenter was seen hauling in £500 worth of boulders and a wooden-slatted pergola as she tried to replicate an Italian "farmhouse".
While Karen and Colin were impressed with the space, which was completed with a water fountain and patio area, fans were not so sure.
Many took to Twitter to complain about the finished product, slamming it as "looking like a building site".
"This is the worst garden rescue I've seen," one viewer kicked off, as a second agreed: "It looks like a building site."

"For £6K I was expecting a lot more," a third chimed in, as a fourth penned: "I like parts of it, but it looks unfinished #gardenrescue."
"I'd be like f*** if I came home and some a***hole had done that to my garden!" a fifth viewer angrily concluded.
Others were left baffled at the prices of the elements, including a single olive tree, which was priced at £500 alone.
It's not the first time viewers have been left unhappy with the garden transformations, as earlier this month fans dubbed on garden "shockingly bad".
The gardeners had been given a budget of £6,000 to transform the space - and fans took to social media with their opinions.
One wrote on Twitter: "That's a nightmare garden #gardenrescue - too much going on and too much growing out of the gravel. Two years from now it will be a right mess and the gravel will be full of cat s**t."
Another said: "#gardenrescue £6k wasted. Awful."
Earlier this month it was revealed why Charlie Dimmock will NEVER let fans see her own garden.
