Amazing Homes presenter George Clarke splits from his wife as she speaks of her ‘trauma’
TELLY property shows veteran George Clarke has split from his wife, we can reveal.
It comes after estranged Katie Morgan Jones, 42, said last month: “It’s time for change.”
The couple had been splitting their time between homes in London and Gloucestershire.
They have now put the country bungalow up for sale at £870,000 — and sources close to the couple have confirmed the relationship is over.
Architect and author George, 47, who hosts Channel 4’s Amazing Spaces and Remarkable Renovations, married Katie in a beachside ceremony in Ibiza in 2018.
Their split follows cryptic Instagram posts by PR executive Katie who wrote late last year of having been “through the most bizarre and traumatic situation”.
She mentioned “lockdowns isolated on my own” that were a “test of mental agility”, as well as “many, many other trials and tribulations, tears and revelations”.
In another post written last month while on holiday in the Bahamas, she said: “Now to the future.
"After a weird couple of years . . . it’s time for change.”
George was previously married to Australian animator and art director Catriona Drummond in 2009.
They had three children and George carried the 2012 Olympic torch in London for her brother Swiggy, a model, who died of cancer.
He has been a telly regular since 2004 with series including The Home Show and The Restoration Man.
Last week, he posted: “Unwanted sound is noise, and when you manage to block noise out . . . it really is life changing.”
