Coronation Street spoilers: Lydia Chambers sets up Adam Barlow for sickening crime
LOVE is definitely not in the air for Adam Barlow and Sarah Platt after Lydia Chambers admitted to an illicit romance.
Upcoming instalments of Coronation Street will show the Underworld PR even ready to pin a horrifying crime on the solicitor.
Determined to ruin Sarah and Adam's marriage, Lydia (played Rebecca Ryan) has hatched a plan to push both of them to their limits.
After vandalising Adam's () car, Lydia pulled a terrifying prank which led to him being held at gunpoint.
Lydia took it a step further by telling Sarah (Tina O'Brien) she was seeing a married man and making it out to be Adam.

But Adam vehemently denies Lydia's claims, assuring Sarah he has been nothing but faithful to her.
Sarah can't help but find his version hard to believe, most probably due to their tumultuous past.
In scenes due on screens next week, Adam assures Sarah again that Lydia’s telling a pack of lies, adding that he hasn't been intimate with Lydia since their university days.
Desperate, and in a bid to try and smooth everything out, Adam calls at Lydia’s house asking to talk.
Spotting a couple of passers-by, Lydia plays the victim and shouts at Adam to leave her alone, feigning fear.
Lydia eventually opens her door and Adam steps inside.
But his scheming ex has another trick up her sleeve and he’s horrified to see Lydia has trashed her house in another bid to set him up.

As he pulls out his phone to call the authorities Lydia tells him it’s too late as they’re already here.
Things are looking bleak for Adam as Sarah refuses to believe anything he says.
In her elaborate plan to sabotage Sarah and Adam's marriage, Lydia has come up with the idea of getting the former to call the number she has supposedly been texting.
According to her, the number belongs to none other than Adam.
This is proven to be potentially true as a phone in Adam's drawer rings when Sarah phones the number.
With the proof piling up against him, Adam is kicked out of his own home by his wife.
