Kim Kardashian fans share theory about why her boyfriend Pete Davidson returned to Instagram after a FOUR-year hiatus
KIM Kardashian's fans shared their theories as to why her boyfriend Pete Davidson returned to Instagram for the first time in four years.
Pete, 28, rejoined the platform just days after Kim's ex Kanye West targeted the comedian with numerous insults.
While he has yet to post anything, fans are curious of the reason the Staten Island native decided to resurface online.
One user started a conversation about Pete's re-emergence asking: "Thoughts on/predictions for Pete re-joining Instagram right now for the first time since 2018?"
Many chimed in with their opinions in the thread, with some believing his Instagram presence is strictly to promote a project.
One person wrote: "I’m going to guess he’s had it planned for a while to promote upcoming stuff. Only because it’s already verified, and a handle that probably had to be acquired from someone."
While a second user agreed writing: "I want to assume that he doesn't actually have access to his IG account and that it was just made by his publicist or assistant to promote something."
Others worried for the Saturday Night Live star's well-being as he stated back in 2018 that he was deleting his social media to protect his mental health.

"I hope he's not on it personally and a publicist uses it for him," a Reddit user commented.
Another fan echoed the statement adding: "I really admired him not having IG. I’m kind of sad he could be rejoining since he kind of talks about how bad it is for him."
Others, however, speculated that his sudden reappearance has something to do with his girlfriend's rapper ex.
One said: "I think it’s only for promo but Kanye immediately following is giving me a bit…of a pause 😟"
Another had a similar take writing: "I’m wondering if he joined for legal reasons… to get those threats Kanye’s Stans want to send, and maybe Kanye himself will be tempted to contact him. Maybe it’s all so he can get a restraining order?"
As soon as the comic's page resurfaced, Kanye, 44, became one of his over 800k followers.
The Flashing Lights singer reportedly posted a photo showing that he followed Pete but then deleted it.
Pete has yet to return the gesture, currently only following Kim and actor Sebastian Stan.
The King of Staten Island actor previously talked about the negative impacts social media had on his mental health calling the Internet an "evil place."
At the time, he said: "No there's nothing wrong. No nothing happened. No there's nothing cryptic about anything. I just don't wanna be on Instagram anymore. Or on any social media platform.
"The internet is an evil place and it doesn't make me feel good. Why should I spend any time on negative energy when my real life is f***ing lit. The fact that I even have to say this proves my point. I love you all and I'm sure I'll be back at some point. your neighborhood goon, Pete."
YE'S RANTS
Kanye has repeatedly attacked Pete over his relationship with his ex-wife, which lately has been primarily on Instagram.
In one post, Kanye called Pete a "d**khead" and accused him of "destroying" their family.
Kanye also threatened to "beat Pete's a**" and declared "war" on him, as well as isolated others who are friendly with the Suicide Squad star.
Kim filed for divorce from Kanye in February 2021 after seven years of marriage.
They share four children together: North, eight, Saint, six, Chicago, four, and Psalm, two.
LEAKED TEXTS
Additionally, the Donda rapper leaked texts that were allegedly from Kim begging him to "stop creating danger."
The text read: "You are creating a dangerous and scary environment and someone will hurt Pete and this will all be your fault."
Moments later, Kanye shared another alleged text conversation with his ex-wife, where she thanked him for taking her request seriously.
The TV personality wrote: "Well thank you. There are dangerous people out there and this is scary and it doesn't have to be."
He then replied: "I will always do everything to protect you and our family forever.
"And I listened to you and told everyone to make sure nothing physical happens to Skete."
Kanye had been referring to the funnyman as "Skete" in his numerous rants.
PUBLIC APOLOGY
He later issued an apology to Kim, 41, and Pete, for airing his comments on a public forum writing: "I’ve learned that using all caps makes people feel like I’m screaming at them. I’m working on my communication.
"I can benefit from a team of creative professionals, organizers, mobilizers and community leaders."
After he thanked "everybody for supporting" him, the rapper continued: "I know sharing screen shots was jarring and came off as harassing Kim.
